Aggreko Helps Molly Olly's Raise Money At Charity Golf Day

For the past four years, Aggreko has supported Warwick-based children’s charity - Molly Olly’s by raising funds at its annual charity golf day. 

At the event, more than £22,000 was raised. The Charity helps support children with terminal or life-limiting illnesses and their families and was set up by Rachel and Tim Ollerenshaw in 2011 after their daughter Molly died from rare kidney cancer.

Held at Fulford Heath Golf Club in Wythall, Birmingham, 23 groups of four went around the golf course competing for the Molly Olly trophy.  The event was followed by an auction and Aggreko provided two signed golf bags previously owned by pro golfers Mel Reid and Jordan Smith.

Together the bags raised £500 for Molly Olly’s, the average cost of a wish for an ill child. Over the years, Aggreko has supported the Charity with gifts such as VIP tickets to England vs Wales, and Cirque Du Soleil tickets.

Supporting families 

David Taylor from Aggreko said; “Rachel and her team work tirelessly supporting families that find themselves in the most desperate of situations. I am really pleased that Aggreko can join the local community supporting Rachel at Molly Olly’s wishes.”

The support for the Charity has been immense and will help Molly Olly to continue making those dark days brighter. We look forward to working more closely with Aggreko."
