DRI-STEEM Corporation (DriSteem), the manufacturer of humidification control, evaporative cooling, and water treatment products, is pleased to introduce the addition of four more models to its RL series refrigerant dehumidification line of products.

RL series dehumidifiers are available in six capacities ranging from 3 to 31 lbs/hr at 80°F, 60% RH, with voltage options of 120V, 208-240V, and 277 V.

RL series dehumidifier features

Key features of all RL series dehumidifiers include:

  • Self-sealing, easy-to-replace MERV 11 air filter.
  • Ability to be suspended, installed on the ground level, or ducted.
  • Pre-installed electrical plug that is removable for hard wiring.
  • Onboard digital control for diagnostics and system setup.
  • Optional room controller with accuracy +/-5% RH.
  • Optional humidistat controller with basic BACnet capabilities.

The following models have added features:

  • Models RL-31 and RL-14: EC Fan blower that changes speed (RPM) to maintain constant air flow, 1760 CFM (RL-31) and 830 CFM (RL-14).
  • Models RL-31, RL-14, and RL-9: Thermostatic Expansion Valve (TXV) that regulates the refrigeration based on load (temp/RH).
  • Model RL-31: Variable-speed Low Grain Refrigerant (VLGR) technology, which modulates the refrigeration system with a variable-speed compressor, maximizing moisture removal in low-grain conditions.

Dehumidification

Dehumidification removes moisture from the air, effectively reducing condensation and frost, and safeguarding against mold, mildew, and fungus. The RL series dehumidifier employs refrigeration technology to cool incoming air, thus forming the condensation of water vapor.

Condensed moisture is efficiently drained away while the dry, conditioned air is rewarmed and introduced into the space.
