Carrier group company - Sensitech is set to acquire the cold chain monitoring systems business of Swiss company - Berlinger & Co AG.
Established in 1865, Berlinger is a family-owned company that specializes in innovative and customized solutions for monitoring temperature-sensitive goods in the pharmaceutical and life science, clinical trial and global health segments.
Sensitech to acquire Berlinger & Co AG
The monitoring solutions business of Berlinger includes approximately 85 employees operating in Switzerland, the Netherlands and the United States of America (USA).
The transaction is subject to customary closing conditions and is expected to close in Q3
Berlinger Special AG, the Berlinger Group’s anti-doping product business, will remain in the ownership of the Berlinger family. Both businesses will continue to operate at their present production site in Ganterschwil in the canton of St Gallen.
The transaction, which also includes Berlinger & Co subsidiaries, Antaris Solutions BV and Berlinger USA LLC, is subject to customary closing conditions and is expected to close in Q3.

Berlinger’s products include the SmartSystem platform
Berlinger’s products include the SmartSystem platform, which enables modular, real-time, end-to-end monitoring via fully integrated, rechargeable temperature monitoring devices and a cloud-based software platform; Fridge-tag for vaccine fridges and refrigerated site-monitoring; and proprietary software and analytics to automate the end-to-end stability and validation process for clinical trials.
Sensitech became part of Carrier Global Corporation in 2006. It is one of the major companies providing monitoring products and services to major companies in the food, pharmaceutical, industrial, consumer goods, and other industries.
