Recently, Unit 5# of the pumped storage power station in Jixi, Anhui Province, developed by Dongfang Electric Corporation (DEC), has officially entered into commercial operation. The project has achieved the goal of putting five units into operation within one single year.
Located at Jixi County, Anhui Province, with the characteristic of 650-meter super high water head, high rotating speed and large capacity, the power station is equipped with 6×300MW reversible pump turbine/generator motor sets. All units and auxiliary equipment were supplied by DEC.
