CoolAutomation had earlier announced a new integration solution for customers to connect split and multi-split HVAC systems - CoolPlug and CooLinkHub.

Split and multi-split HVAC systems

Aiming to simplify the split and multi-split integration further, CoolAutomation has now announced that this system is now compatible with Mitsubishi heavy split and multi-split HVAC system.

As opposed to what customers probably know about VRF systems’ popularity, the splits represent a very large segment. They are mostly used in residential type of buildings. This means users will encounter them quite often when working on mid-level residential projects.

How to Connect?

Split systems and multi-split HVAC systems are combination of both indoor and outdoor units. They operate similarly to the VRF. However, the control panel needs to control only the indoor unit.

The aim is basically to connect one single CoolPlug to one indoor unit. The next step is to connect all the CoolPlugs to the CooLinkHub. One CooLinkHub is designed to be connected to 10 CoolPlugs.
