The WILO SE Supervisory Board has renewed ahead of schedule the appointment of the incumbent President and CEO Oliver Hermes for a further six years until 31 December 2026.
“His anticipated contract extension is in line with the ongoing, profitable development of the company, in respect of which the Supervisory Board expresses its fullest confidence in him,” said the Chair of the Supervisory Board, Prof. Dr. Norbert Wieselhuber, following the latest meeting of the Supervisory Board in December 2020.
Increased brand performance
“Oliver Hermes stands for determination and resourcefulness. Over the last few years, he has multiplied the company value as well as significantly increased brand performance through the modernization of brand identity and development of the corporate group from a ‘hidden champion’ to a ‘visible & connected champion’.”
“Even in the turbulent times of the coronavirus pandemic, his leadership made it possible to generate sustainable and profitable growth and to drive forward the digital transformation, all the while maintaining the health of employees as our very first priority,” added Prof. Dr. Wieselhuber. In August 2020, Wilo was selected as one of the ‘50 Sustainability & Climate Leaders’ worldwide.
Climate protection initiative
The German Sustainability Award honors companies for which sustainability is part of their business model
The global sustainability and climate protection initiative involves companies that act on basis of the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). In December 2020, the Wilo Group has been awarded the renowned German Sustainability Award (Deutscher Nachhaltigkeitspreis, DNP) in the ‘Climate’ transformation field. The German Sustainability Award honors companies for which sustainability is part of their business model.

We do this in the firm belief that the smartest products will be the most efficient ones in slowing down climate change,” explained Oliver Hermes.
