REHAU UK has announced the promotion of Steve Richmond to Sales & Marketing Director for the Building Solutions division. Steve, who joined REHAU in 2006 as a Commercial Graduate Trainee, has steadily progressed through the company over the past 19 years and takes this new post, following the retirement of Colin Pearson after 27 years of dedicated service.

Steve and Colin have always worked closely, but to ensure a smooth transition, in addition to his day-to-day responsibilities, Steve has shadowed Colin for the past six months.

Adapting to the new role

One focus will be the continued development of REHAU’s flagship products, such as RAUVIPEX

Throughout the year, Steve has been actively meeting customers, both new and existing, to listen and understand the challenges their industries and sectors are facing. In his new role, Steve will lead the division’s efforts to ensure profitable and continuous expansion across the company’s diverse Building Solutions portfolio.

One focus will be the continued development of REHAU’s flagship products, such as RAUVIPEX pre-insulated pipework and the O-ring free heating & plumbing solution, RAUTITAN and PP-R Fiber, while ensuring first-class customer service through REHAU’s dedicated sales, project support and technical teams.

Driving sustainable growth

I’m incredibly proud to take on this new role and continue contributing to a business that has supported my development,” said Steve Richmond.

He adds, “As we look to the future, I’m focused on driving sustainable growth, expanding our presence in key markets. As one of the market leaders in polymer pre-insulated pipe, we must we continue to deliver exceptional service and innovative solutions to our customers, and that’s something I’m keen to continue to build on in my new role.”

As part of Steve’s roles to date, he served as President of the British Plastics Federation’s (BPF) Pipes Group for three years. He was Vice-President before that for a further 3 years, and also represents REHAU at key industry trade groups, including the Association for Decentralised Energy (ADE) and the UK District Energy Association (UKDEA).
