In June 2022, Sandometal was distinguished with the Corporate Merit Award during the Celebrations of the 25th anniversary of the elevation of Sobralinho to Vila.
The award was delivered by the Treasurer of the Parish Council of Alverca do Ribatejo e Sobralinho, José Chumbo, and by the Executive Member, João Martins, to the representative and Chairman of the Board of Sandometal, Mr. Antonio Beirao.
