RAUVIPEX, the pre-insulated district heating pipework solution from REHAU UK, has been honored with the Commercial HVAC Product of the Year award in the Components and Peripherals category at the 2025 Heating & Ventilating News Awards.

This solution combines low thermal conductivity with high bending flexibility, thanks to REHAU’s trusted PE-Xa carrier pipe, PU foam insulation, and an SN8-rated outer jacket. This construction approach balances minimizing heat loss with ease of installation, an ongoing challenge in HVAC piping systems.
Advanced Features and Compliance
RAUVIPEX includes a novel longitudinal water barrier — a fully welded layer that maintains insulation integrity, even if the outer jacket is compromised.
It achieves longitudinal watertightness per the AGFW Heat Works group’s FW 420-1 Class A classification, a significant first for a PU foam district heating pipe when tested at double the specified pressure.

In alignment with sustainability goals, the pipework solution is produced using 100% renewable electricity and adheres to DIN EN 15632 standards, ensuring long-term low-carbon performance in modern low-temperature networks operating at 65°C with a lifespan of up to 100 years.
