Since the inception of this partnership in 2014, VeloSano has amassed $95 million, all of which supports pivotal cancer research.
This year marks a significant milestone for Oatey as the company hit a fundraising record of $353,600, bringing their total contribution to $1.7 million. Over the past ten years, the funds raised by Oatey have supported 13 research projects at Cleveland Clinic designed to enhance the understanding and treatment of cancer with the ultimate goal of eradicating the disease.

The event is a cornerstone of Oatey's corporate ethos, promoting teamwork, community involvement, and a collective sense of purpose. In recognition of their efforts, Oatey received VeloSano’s esteemed “All In Award” in 2021.
“From my very first ride ten years ago to today, being part of Team Oatey has been such an incredibly rewarding journey,” expressed Jaime Cleary, Oatey’s Manager of Environmental Health and Safety Services. Cleary, along with Cindy Greiner, Connie Pho, and Meghan Smith, served as co-captains of Team Oatey, demonstrating strong leadership within the cause.
Team Oatey’s Record-Breaking Bike to Cure
The Bike to Cure weekend held from September 5-6 this year witnessed over 150 members of Team Oatey riding, volunteering, and raising funds. Participants took on routes of up to 100 miles, while others engaged virtually or offered support at Oatey’s rest stop. In the lead-up to the event, Oatey energized participants with innovative fundraising ventures, encouraging associates to make a significant impact.
“Having my children ride alongside me has made this experience especially meaningful,” remarked Jaime Cleary, highlighting a family commitment that has seen them cover nearly 450 miles for the cause. Cleary added appreciation for a company that empowers its associates to make meaningful contributions.
