Chrissie Walsh, who heads the Environmental Sustainability division at GF Building Flow Solutions Americas, has been appointed to the Board of Directors of the Minnesota Chamber Environmental Sustainability Foundation (MCESF).
Her new role involves overseeing governance and ensuring community representation for the MCESF. Walsh's appointment took effect on September 9, 2025, marking the start of her three-year tenure.
Walsh's Leadership and Expertise
Sydney Henderson, the Environmental Sustainability Director at MCESF, highlighted Walsh's capabilities, stating, "Chrissie brings an exceptional mix of technical expertise, passion, and community focus to the Foundation."
She adds, "Her leadership will help advance our mission of supporting businesses in developing practical, effective solutions that drive resource optimization and move Minnesota toward a more sustainable future."
Focus on Sustainable Practices
Walsh is actively involved with the American Society of Heating, Refrigerating, and Air-Conditioning Engineers
Chrissie Walsh expressed her commitment to sustainability, remarking, "I care deeply about sustainable action, mitigation, and innovation, and it's evident the Minnesota Chamber values and works to enact these concepts."
She adds, "As a board member, I'm eager to become more ingrained with the structures that define progress in our communities and play a pivotal role in Minnesota-based sustainable action in any way I can."
Walsh's Previous Contributions
In addition to her new role, Walsh is actively involved with the American Society of Heating, Refrigerating, and Air-Conditioning Engineers (ASHRAE). She participates in several technical committees, including those focusing on Global Climate Change, Building Impacts, and Sustainability, as well as the Minnesota Chapter’s Sustainability Committee.
Walsh is also a contributor to the Plastics Pipe Institute (PPI), where she engages with task groups for the PEX Industry-Level Recycling and Takeback Program and Advanced Recycling. Further, she continues her membership with the American Meteorological Society (AMS).
