All eight units on the left bank of the Baihetan hydropower station have been operational, since Unit 8 passed its 72-hour trial test on Sept 22. These units, developed and supplied by DEC, take up half of the mega 16 GW power plant.
Baihetan Hydropower Station located in Southwest China. It has a total of 16 hydroelectric generating units with a single capacity of 1000 MW. When in full operation, Baihetan will produce 62 billion kWh of electricity annually, which will reduce carbon dioxide emissions by 51.6 million tons every year.
