Ameren Corporation has announced key leadership transitions aimed at enhancing operational performance and broadening the expertise of its executive team, effective January 1, 2026.
These changes are designed to fortify the company's future in the evolving energy sector.
New Roles for Moehn and Singh
Michael Moehn, who is presently serving as the senior executive vice president and chief financial officer of Ameren Corporation, alongside his roles as chairman and president of Ameren Services and interim chairman and president of Ameren Missouri, will transition to the newly established position of group president, Ameren Utilities.
In this capacity, Moehn will manage Ameren's operating utilities, with leadership from Ameren Missouri, Ameren Illinois, and Ameren Transmission Company of Illinois reporting directly to him.
Lenny Singh, currently the chairman and president of Ameren Illinois, will step into the role of executive vice president and chief financial officer of Ameren Corporation, while also taking on the responsibilities of chairman and president of Ameren Services.
Strategic Enhancements Underway
Patrick Smith Sr., who is the senior vp of operations and technical services, will assume the position of chairman
Moehn and Singh will continuously report to Martin J. Lyons Jr., Ameren Corporation's chairman, president, and chief executive officer. As part of these organizational developments, Patrick Smith Sr., who is the senior vice president of operations and technical services, will assume the position of chairman and president of Ameren Illinois, with oversight directly under Moehn.
Martin J. Continued Leadership and Responsibilities
Shawn Schukar is set to continue his role as chairman and president of Ameren Transmission Company of Illinois, a position in which he has significantly contributed value to the company and its clientele.
Since joining Ameren in 2000, Michael Moehn has undertaken several senior leadership roles, handling diverse responsibilities encompassing nuclear and customer operations, regulatory and legislative affairs, strategy, finance, accounting, risk management, and digital initiatives. His career with Ameren includes previous roles, such as chairman and president of Ameren Missouri.

Backgrounds of Key Leaders
Before joining Ameren as chairman and president of Ameren Illinois in 2022, Lenny Singh brought over 30 years of experience from Consolidated Edison Company of New York, where he served in varied roles concerning electric, natural gas, steam operations, and shared services.
Patrick Smith, who started with Ameren as a meter reader in 1985, has ascended through numerous leadership positions. In his current capacity, he oversees and supports all electric and natural gas field operations at Ameren Illinois, which includes maintenance, engineering design, safety and training, reliability planning, dispatch operations, emergency response, and construction services.
