Carrier Solutions UK has delivered a comprehensive HVAC refurbishment for Bannatyne Health Club & Spa in Wellingborough.

Project Overview
The eight-week project focused on replacing outdated R407c split systems that were increasingly costly for Bannatyne Group to maintain.
These aging systems had surpassed their operational lifespan, necessitating a modern upgrade to improve performance and reduce operational expenses.

The equipment was sourced through Cool Designs Ltd, one of Carrier's preferred distributors
Ventec Services Ltd, chosen as the installation contractor, opted for Toshiba products due to their high efficiency, reliability, and adaptable climate control capabilities.

New System Features
The installation featured Toshiba Variable Refrigerant Flow (VRF) systems, specifically SMMSu Heat Pump 2-pipe and SHRMe Heat Recovery 3-pipe models, alongside Toshiba Digital Inverter R32 units.
Additionally, outdated DX cooling coils and condensing units within the club's air handling units were replaced to further bolster efficiency.
Energy Efficiency and Control
The newly installed systems utilize inverter-driven compressors that modulate heating and cooling output based on real-time demand, cutting down on power consumption during off-peak times.
A Toshiba Black Pear Central Controller was also integrated, enabling the club’s General Manager to regulate temperature settings across distinct areas from a central office control point.
Execution and Impact
The project was carefully scheduled to occur outside of business hours, minimizing disruptions to daily operations.
