Malco Tools has achieved significant recognition for its commitment to workplace safety, earning the Minnesota STAR (MNSTAR) certification from the Minnesota Occupational Safety and Health Administration (MNOSHA) as well as the 2024 Governor’s Safety Award from the Minnesota Safety Council. These honors highlight Malco Tools' dedication to maintaining safe working conditions for its employees within the HVAC and building construction sectors.
Located in Annandale, Malco Tools' headquarters joins a select group of 36 facilities in the state that hold the MNSTAR certification. This honor is reserved for companies that exceed basic OSHA compliance to significantly reduce workplace injuries and illnesses.
Malco's longstanding commitment to safety is underscored by its continuous maintenance of the MNOSHA Safety and Health Achievement Recognition Program (MNSHARP) status since 2004.

The achievement of MNSTAR certification was commemorated with a flag-raising event at Malco's Annandale plant on August 7. The ceremony, attended by both state and local dignitaries, marked an important milestone for the company.
In addition to this recognition, Malco Tools has been honored with the Governor's Safety Award 14 times over the past two decades, reflecting the company's ongoing dedication to safety excellence.
Comprehensive Safety Program
Key elements of Malco's robust safety program include a Safety Management System aligned with national safety standards, annual organization-wide safety objectives, and monthly reviews of safety performance metrics.
Their proactive Safety Committee is instrumental in overseeing safety procedures, leading additional training sessions, and conducting regular inspections and observations.
