Heatex has successfully tested its Model H2 cross-flow plate heat exchanger (HEX) according to the standard EN 60529, and it is now officially IP-rated.

Additional tightness treatment is optional for all the cross-flow heat exchangers.

Heatex’s IP65 Rated HEX

An IP65-rated enclosure gives protection against low-pressure water jets from any direction, as well as condensation and water spray.

Heatex’s tested object fulfilled the IP65 requirements, which means that neither dust nor water penetrated the heat exchanger. Model H2 was tested by RISE, Research Institute of Sweden AB.
