Carrier continues to invest in digital technologies to better serve commercial HVAC customers around the globe and to help provide healthier, safer, and more efficient buildings. In support of that, Carrier’s Commercial Service business in Europe is launching a new tiered service offering to complement its existing BluEdge service platform: BluEdge® Digital.

Digital cloud-based IoT platform

The new digital offering, which is added to existing BluEdge service agreements, connects customers’ equipment to Carrier’s cloud-based IoT platform, providing them with advanced analytics and actionable insights to visualize, advise and optimize machine health and lifecycle outcomes.

Carrier is a part of Carrier Global Corporation, the global provider of healthy, safe, sustainable, and intelligent building and cold chain solutions. The new digital offering expands Carrier’s existing BluEdge tiered-service model, with three different levels of access to BluEdge Digital.

BluEdge Digital Core

BluEdge Elite full protection anticipate issues and reduce downtime with proactive maintenance recommendations

The first service tier, BluEdge Digital Core, includes HVAC connectivity to monitor all equipment with dashboards, alarms, and alerts. BluEdge Digital Enhance provides remote experts to analyze data and performance trends for all connected HVAC assets.

BluEdge Digital Elite is bundled with a BluEdge Elite full protection plan to anticipate issues and reduce downtime with proactive maintenance recommendations, predictive analytics, and vibration monitoring to optimize all outcomes and equipment health.

Multiple advantages

With the launch of cutting-edge BluEdge Digital, we will unlock incremental value for our customers, aligned to the evolving and varied needs in verticals including healthcare, commercial buildings, education, hospitality, and more,” said Andrew Paddock, Director, HVAC Europe Service, Carrier.

We’ve listened to customers express their desire to gain advantages from digital technologies. This new platform instills confidence in our customers by driving efficiency while providing solutions that deliver a strong return on investment.”

Early detection

BluEdge Digital was launched in North America earlier in 2021, and hundreds of customers are benefiting from the premier connected service offerings. A US-based municipality was able to avoid a costly major overhaul due to early detection of faults in one of their 10 chillers.

Carrier vibration analytics identified the root cause, and the service team took corrective action with no downtime and at a significantly reduced cost. As a result, the customer signed a five-year service agreement with BluEdge Digital Core capabilities to avoid similar issues in the future.
