Last week, against the backdrop of its Climate Action Week, London played host to the 2024 Breakthrough Energy Summit, a gathering that brought together some of the most innovative minds and groundbreaking products advancing energy efficiency, sustainability, and decarbonization.

Aeroseal’s participation not only showcased our proven technology but also reinforced the position as a foundational solution for optimizing energy efficiency in buildings and meeting sustainability standards in the built environment. Among the many highlights, the advanced air-sealing solutions stood out and garnered significant attention from industry pioneers and media alike.

A High-Profile Presence

Gupta highlighted the substantial energy used for heating and cooling and the significant waste

Aeroseal made a memorable impact at the summit, marked by engaging interactions with industry pioneers and interviews with some of the top names in news.

Aeroseal CEO Amit Gupta joined Breakthrough Energy Founder Bill Gates and Amit Kumar of ZeroAvia in a Sky News segment. During the interview, Gupta highlighted the substantial energy used for heating and cooling and the significant waste caused by air leakage.

Potential of Aeroseal’s technology

Buildings use lots of energy, and 50% of the energy going into the buildings is used for heating and cooling the buildings, right? And 50% of that, so 50% of the heating and cooling energy, is getting wasted because of these building leaks, and we are fixing that.”

Another highlight was Bill Weir of CNN’s interview with Gupta at the Aeroseal display booth alongside Gates. The segment, which emphasized the effectiveness and potential of Aeroseal’s technology, is set to be part of a larger documentary.

Recognition from Industry Pioneers

Gates highlighted Aeroseal’s innovative approach to sealing leaks in heating and cooling systems

During an interview with the Wall Street Journal, Gates praised Aeroseal while discussing the early winners and promising technologies on display at the Breakthrough Energy Summit. Gates highlighted Aeroseal’s innovative approach to sealing leaks in heating and cooling systems, which has been implemented in hundreds of thousands of homes and commercial buildings.

This endorsement from one of the most influential investors in green technology underscores the significant impact and promise of Aeroseal’s solutions to improve energy efficiency in buildings and affect real, positive change in their carbon footprints.

Looking Forward

The summit also facilitated discussions on future collaborations and partnerships. As described in The Gates Notes ahead of the Summit, Aeroseal's technology, which efficiently seals leaks to enhance HVAC system performance, aligns perfectly with the goals of reducing emissions and improving energy efficiency in buildings.

The fact that it is cost-effective, commercially developed, and readily available for implementation opens doors for new projects and synergistic partnerships aimed at accelerating the transition of the built environment to a sustainable, net-zero future.
