Eurovent has published its first-ever Recommendation on Hybrid Indirect Evaporative Cooling Equipment.

The document was developed for the UNIDO Project and is now available for download on the Eurovent website.

new Eurovent Recommendation

The new Eurovent Recommendation was developed in the framework of the cooperation between Eurovent and the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO).

Its main objective is to specify the requirements and test methods for Indirect Evaporative Cooling (IEC) Hybrid Units, to define how to calculate their energy efficiency ratio and their total cooling capacity, as well as to define a methodology suitable for Egypt’s working conditions. This Eurovent Recommendation provides testing references and quality reviews of the testing process.

specification on a methodology

It will help inform industry experts on the testing requirements and methods for IEC Hybrid Units"

The Eurovent Secretary-General Francesco Scuderi has remarked, “We are delighted to have worked with the United Nations Industrial Development Organisation in preparing this Recommendation."

"It will help inform industry experts on the testing requirements and methods for IEC Hybrid Units. Another important factor of the document is its specification on a methodology suitable for Egypt’s different climatic zones, as those zones may be suitable for IEC applications.”

low GWP technology

This document was published by Eurovent and prepared under a contract between the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO) and Eurovent, in the framework of the UNIDO Project No: 140400.

The UNIDO Project aims at providing technical assistance for the implementation of low GWP technology as well as examining the introduction of a not-in-kind technology, namely: indirect evaporative cooling (IEC).
