Danfoss Power Solutions has successfully completed its acquisition of Hydro Holding Spa, a manufacturer of hose fittings, after obtaining all the required approvals. This strategic move enhances Danfoss’s production capabilities in Europe, providing a strong local manufacturing base in Italy and the Czech Republic.
The integration brings onboard 350 experienced employees, focused on advancing customer service and operational growth.

Leadership and Integration
The transition will see Hydro Holding becoming part of the Fluid Conveyance division as a new business unit named Hydro. The unit will be led by Stefano Bordegnoni, the former CEO of Hydro Holding, who will now serve as Vice President, Hydro, reporting to Traverso.
Bordegnoni’s extensive background in industrial manufacturing and innovation positions him well for this role, having previously held key positions at Brooks Automation, Inpeco, and Schneider Electric. Bordegnoni holds a Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering and is an inventor with patents in industrial automation.

Danfoss Power Solutions’ Fluid Conveyance division is a prominent manufacturer of hoses and fittings for diverse applications, including mobile and industrial equipment, vehicles, aircraft, mining, and the food and beverage industry.
The division offers a range of products such as hydraulic, industrial, thermoplastic, engine, air conditioning hoses and fittings, connectors, quick-disconnect couplings, hose machines, tools, and accessories. The division totaled annual sales of EUR 1.2 billion in 2024 and, with the inclusion of Hydro Holding’s 350 employees, will comprise approximately 6,500 personnel.

Stefano Bordegnoni
Hydro Holding will be integrated into Danfoss Power Solutions’ Fluid Conveyance division as a new business unit (BU) named Hydro. Stefano Bordegnoni, who has served as CEO of Hydro Holding since May 2024, will lead the newly formed business unit. Bordegnoni has been named Vice President, Hydro, reporting to Traverso.
Bordegnoni brings a distinguished track record in industrial manufacturing, engineering innovation, and global growth leadership to his role at Danfoss. Before joining Hydro Holding, he was Managing Director of the Healthcare Automation Division at Brooks Automation, a leading provider of automated solutions for the semiconductor industry.
Prior to that, he served as CEO at Inpeco and as Senior Vice President at Schneider Electric in Singapore. Bordegnoni holds a Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Genoa, Italy, and has filed patents in advanced industrial automation.
