Malco Tools, a prominent manufacturer known for its quality tools in the HVAC and building construction domains, has revealed the honorees of its annual HVAC Trade-Pro of the Year Awards for 2024.
This accolade is designed to commend HVAC professionals who exhibit outstanding dedication to the industry, ensure safety practices, and engage with their communities.
Recognizing Excellence in HVAC Experts
The 2024 program celebrated five exceptional HVAC contractors and technicians from various parts of the United States.
The winners include:
- Scott Mapes, Owner of First Choice Comfort LLC/Hoppy Air in Lafayette, Indiana
- Robert Deeds, Journeyman Sheetmetal Worker at Sheetmetal Workers Local #7 in Kalkaska, Michigan
- Brent Evans, Owner of Evans Heating & A/C in Princeton, North Carolina
- Tom Langfeldt, Owner and Sole Proprietor of Peninsula Heating and Air LLC in Sturgeon Bay, Wisconsin
- Brandon McMullin, Service/Retro Fit and Finish Manager at Air Design Heating and Cooling in Murray, Utah

Meanwhile, entries for the 2025 Trade-Pro of the Year program will begin in February

Awardees will receive a tool kit from Malco, valued at $1,000. Meanwhile, entries for the 2025 Trade-Pro of the Year program will begin in February.

Championing the value of skilled trades, Malco Tools contributes substantial amounts of tools and apparel to educational initiatives, competitions, and events across the nation. Recipients of these donations include high school and post-secondary technical programs, apprenticeship competitions, and SkillsUSA conferences.
Additionally, Malco's "Head of the Class" Student Recognition Program collaborates with educational institutions to honor top-performing students and graduating cohorts within the HVAC/sheet metal and building construction sectors.
