Viessmann Climate Solutions has successfully implemented a significant upgrade at FC Bayern Munich's Allianz Arena by supplying 19 Vitocal 350 HT-PRO heat pumps.
These heat pumps play a critical role in providing decentralized heating to the entire stadium, including the bistro, fan shop, and the 'Experience World' areas, ensuring a comfortable environment for thousands of fans. This move aligns with a broader strategy to enhance energy efficiency and sustainability within the stadium's operations.
Enhancing Energy Self-Sufficiency
In a continued effort to boost energy autonomy, approximately 1,050 photovoltaic modules have been installed on the roofs of the visitor control areas at Allianz Arena. This forms part of Viessmann's ongoing collaboration with Carrier Corporation, known for its expertise in intelligent climate and energy solutions.
The project represents a progressive approach to upgrading the stadium with cutting-edge renewable solutions aiming to reduce CO₂ emissions by up to 40 percent. Previously, three large heat pumps from Carrier were also installed in 2022 to support the soccer field's heating system.
Expanding Strategic Partnerships
Viessmann supplies state-of-the-art technologies for heating, cooling, ventilation, water treatment
Since 2018, Viessmann has been strategically partnering with FC Bayern Munich, initially focusing on regional collaborations in China before expanding to Southeast Asia in 2021. This partnership evolved into a global "Official Climate Partner" agreement during the 2022/23 season, emphasizing a joint commitment to sustainability.
Under the agreement, which extends until June 2026, Viessmann supplies state-of-the-art technologies for heating, cooling, ventilation, water treatment, and air purification at FC Bayern's various facilities, including the women's team.
Promoting Renewable Solutions Through Sponsorship
The partnership also extends into joint environmental campaigns, utilizing brand rights, LED board placements at Allianz Arena, and endorsements by Thomas Müller to raise awareness of renewable and energy-efficient solutions.
In conjunction with these initiatives, Viessmann Climate Solutions has launched a creative advertising campaign in collaboration with Hamburg's studio 27 km. The campaign humorously features Bayern stars as they respond to confusion about their "new colleagues," showcasing their acting abilities alongside the introduction of Viessmann's latest innovations.
