Vaisala has appointed Girish Agarwal as Chief Digital & Information Officer (CDIO).
He will join the Vaisala Leadership Team and report to the President and CEO Kai Öistämö. He will start in his role in June 2024.
Girish's responsibilities
As CDIO, Girish Agarwal will lead Vaisala’s Operational Excellence organization, including the global Information Technologies function, and drive digitalization, artificial intelligence, and process excellence.
He will succeed Olli Nastamo, the current EVP of Operational Excellence, who will retire in August 2024.

Before that, he worked at Husqvarna Group as Director of the AI Lab, Director of Digital & Business Architecture, and Enterprise Architect. He has a PhD in Artificial Intelligence & Business Model Innovation.
