DC Global Freight Management has chartered vessels directly from China to the UK, while the majority of shipping service operators will stop at several ports along the route to load and unload cargo. Many also stop in Rotterdam and Antwerp on the way and move containers to the UK with smaller vessels.

Direct freight shipping service

There have been global issues around ports being overly congested due to the pandemic, a national shortage of lorry drivers, soaring consumer appetite for goods, and a lack of port space for emptying containers.

DC Global Freight Management, however, has created a unique service that will direct shipping from China straight to the UK. They have established regular sailing routes between Shanghai and the UK into Liverpool and Tilbury.

Fast and efficient service

Our client base demands a fast, efficient, and direct service from Ningbo and Shanghai in China"

"Getting freight from China to the UK has become difficult due to the pandemic, the price of oil, the lack of containers, port space, lorry drivers, and even port quarantines," said James Cross, Managing Director of DC Global Freight Management Limited.

"Our client base demands a fast, efficient, and direct service from Ningbo and Shanghai in China. We've got that scheduled service which takes approximately 28 days transit time. Our rates are very competitive because these are our chartered vessels exclusive to us.”

Saving time via scheduled service

This comes as a huge relief to China-UK direct freight forwarding services that have suffered during the pandemic or due to the lorry driver shortage. The move to scheduled service on a direct route will save time as well as port space. Most ports only allow a three-day window for container service delivery at ports, which is a minute window to load onto vessels.

DC Global Freight Management has arranged container yards in both Ningbo and Shanghai, which will receive continuous container deliveries. DCGFM will even move the containers from Ningbo to Shanghai as part of their new and exclusive service.
