In the last blog, they discussed a couple of reasons why they should still be running the air conditioning. The first reason is the fact that it is still August, which means the average temperature is 86 degrees, which means the house will be about 30 degrees hotter than the temperature outside, so it’s definitely necessary to run the AC.
The second reason they discussed is the fact that people sleep better at night when their room is set to a cool 65 degrees. It shouldn’t be too hard to get the room to that temperature at night. While these reasons are great, they aren’t the only reasons to continue running the air conditioner, so here are a couple more.
Reasons To Run the Air Conditioning
- Summer Isn’t Over – The hot weather will continue into September and with the way Colorado weather can be, it could even be hot in October. Regardless, the end of summer isn’t here until the end of September, so the home probably still needs air conditioning.
- It’s More Efficient – If they haven’t stressed enough that it’s still hot outside, it’s important to understand how much harder the air conditioner has to work to cool the house down after a long day of sitting in the heat without airflow or a cooling system. When the air conditioner has to work that much harder, it costs more in energy, costing they more money. Keep the home at 75 degrees while they’re out, and it will be much easier to cool down later in the day.
When they’re beginning to wonder whether or not it’s warm enough to run the air conditioning unit, consider these reasons that it might be necessary. If they notice that the air conditioner might have taken a beating over the summer and is in need of an AC repair, then be sure to contact Premier Heating and Air now.
