Adcock has recently completed a bespoke job for Lignacite Limited located in Brandon, Suffolk. Lignacite Limited is concrete blocks manufacturer operating from two plants, one in Suffolk and one in Essex. Lignacite is currently celebrating their 71st year of supplying the housing and construction market with a sustainable block range. Lignacite Limited’s blocks have been used in projects such as The Shard, Canary Wharf and the Olympic Stadium.

All the concrete blocks are wet cut and have to be dried overnight to dispatch the following day, meaning the company relies heavily on dehumidifiers. Three or four of the existing units had failed and the blocks were not drying. Adcock secured the project through their industry knowledge in dehumidification and were able to design, supply and install a completely different solution to dry the blocks. The solution provided by Adcock has resulted in a reduction in energy use by around 90%.
