The Italian company Studio54 has adopted the CAREL iJF electronic controller for its new range of refrigerated cabinets for professional refrigeration.
The goal: to drastically reduce energy consumption while offering a product that combines high efficiency, temperature stability, and premium design, thus meeting increasingly stringent environmental regulations and evolving market expectations.

The result is a unit capable of delivering high performance, reduced consumption, and more stable temperature, even during the most critical transitions such as door openings or defrost cycles.
Tests conducted in a climate chamber revealed a significant overall reduction in daily energy consumption of 43%, achieved through the integration of the CAREL iJF controller with VCC inverter technology and other technical improvements to the unit.

Specifically, the modulating control of the compressor alone enabled a 26% saving, equivalent to 1.5 kWh every 24 hours, by optimizing operation according to actual conditions.

This combined approach also led to an improvement in the unit’s energy label, with a two-class upgrade from D to B, and ensured greater internal temperature stability, with maximum fluctuations kept within 0.5°C of the setpoint.
In addition to its technology, the iJF controller also offers a modern look and an intuitive user interface, fully manageable via smartphone using the CAREL Controlla and Applica apps.

Both CAREL and Studio54 will be attending Host 2025, the international trade fair dedicated to the professional hospitality sector, taking place in Milan from 17 to 21 October, where they will present the solution featured in this success story.
