With new SAP10 regulations coming into force on 15th June 2022, more housing providers than ever will be looking to be fully compliant and ready to switch to more renewable heating systems for their new build projects, such as air source heat pumps.

Low carbon solutions

In addition, homeowners are more inclined to switch to more low carbon solutions and therefore making the size of the market and opportunities for installers a good time to invest and to become involved.

Harvey Loyal, Air-to-Water Specification Sales Manager for Panasonic, is speaking at the Installer Show in the BESA Theatre on 23rd June at 13.00, on ‘How and why to transition to heat pumps – a quick and easy overview’.

SAP10 regulations, decarbonization

The session covers a comparison between air source heat pumps and boiler installations

The session will look at the new SAP10 regulations, the need to decarbonize heating, and how heat pumps can play their part in the solution. The talk will explore the size of the market and highlight opportunities for installers and engineers, including incentives and why now is the right time to train as a heat pump engineer and make the switch to renewable technologies.

The session will also look at a comparison between air source heat pumps and boiler installations covering basic principles of heat pumps from how they work and the refrigeration cycle, to suitable applications and the performance that can be achieved.
