Wharf Hotels announced the opening of The Murray Hong Kong hotel, an ambitious redesign of a government office building by renowned design firm Foster + Partners. The 336-room hotel uses custom-designed Big Ass Fans among its most inspired elements in a large indoor-outdoor space dubbed “The Arches.”

Knowing of Big Ass Fans’ commitment to sustainability and elegant design, Foster + Partners approached the company with a drawing of a fixture they envisioned for the space. The result is a series of custom ring fans – 84-inch Haiku ceiling fans surrounded by bronze rings fitted with sparkling LEDs. The fans bring comfort to guests in the intense Hong Kong heat and help reduce energy costs.
