Frigel has introduced a groundbreaking series of mold temperature control units, marking a significant development in the field. The new generation, named Dynamico, aims to significantly reduce cycle times while enhancing part quality through its innovative software.
This tool is designed to efficiently search and record optimal mold temperature control parameters, leading to reduced mold cooling times, which ultimately boosts productivity and profitability of production cells with a short average payback period for the investment.
Dynamic Mold Temperature Control Technology
These units stand out compared to traditional temperature control units (TCUs) by improving heat transfer efficiency between recirculating water flow and mold cavities. This advancement drastically cuts down the cooling times during manufacturing cycles. The "Dynamic Mold Temperature Control Technology" hinges on three core principles:
- Dedicated mold control ensures precise temperature management and a high flow rate for each injection molding machine (IMM) and mold.
- Dynamic temperature control allows automatic adjustments to the temperature set point.
- Syncro mode, exclusive to units with Variable Frequency Drive (VFD) pumps, synchronizes the inverter-driven pump with the molding cycle to perform "DEEP COOLING" exclusively in the cooling phase, further minimizing molding cooling time.
Dynamico Configurations
The Dynamico units are available in two primary configurations. The Dynamico "S and P" model functions without an integrated chiller, maintaining a minimum temperature set point that is +2°C above the central cooling system.
Meanwhile, the Dynamico "Y" model incorporates a chiller, achieving a minimum temperature set point as low as 10°C, operating independently from the central cooling system.
Versatile Unit Options
Dynamico also offers flexibility with single-zone (DM) and dual-zone (DD) configurations. Each unit comprises a high-performance booster pump per zone, an actuating modulating cooling valve, and a heater ranging from 6 to 24 kW per zone (DS/DY), suitable for most injection molding applications.
