Viessmann presented two virtual training sessions, open to all, on the topic of heat pumps, reflecting growing interest amongst installers of this technology. They also gave away a Vitodens 111-W high-performance storage combi boiler at the end of the festival.

Gas Safe and OFTEC installers

An explanation of heat pump technology was provided for those looking to make the jump to their first heat pump install.

There is growing interest amongst Gas Safe and OFTEC installers to improve their knowledge of heat pumps, and it’s becoming clearer that the Government supports heat pumps as a primary future technology. One has probably already been thinking about when (as opposed to if!) one will add heat pumps to their business.

In the session, Christian explained heat pump technology from the ground up: what it is, how it works, efficiency and the importance and effect of flow temperature, radiator sizing, how to size a heat pump, noise emissions, hydraulic schematic examples, and planning references.
