A-Gas, a global market pioneer in the supply and lifecycle management of refrigerants and associated products, announced it has signed a collaborative partnership with Epta, a global pioneer in commercial refrigeration.

The partnership supports the HVAC&R industry in improving refrigerant recovery rates and ensuring used refrigerants are managed safely and responsibly to reduce emissions. It will also play a key role in advancing Singapore’s sustainability goals and the phasedown of high global warming potential refrigerants.

As a licensed Toxic Industrial Waste Collector authorized by the National Environmental Agency for the recycling, reclamation and destruction of spent refrigerants, A-Gas will process recovered refrigerants from supermarkets serviced by Epta.

Advanced reclamation technology

A-Gas Singapore’s processing facility is equipped with advanced reclamation technology and an on-site laboratory, enabling the recovery, processing and testing of refrigerants to AHRI Standard 700 specifications. Under the agreement, A-Gas will also provide recovery equipment, quality recovery cylinders, and training to ensure safe and efficient refrigerant handling.

General Manager of A-Gas Singapore, Henry Yee, said, “A-Gas is excited to be working with Epta to help the industry improve refrigerant recovery rates. Properly managing used refrigerants is essential to preventing gas from being released into the atmosphere, and this collaboration reflects our shared commitment to building a sustainable industry.”

Together, A-Gas and Epta are helping the HVAC&R industry manage refrigerants more efficiently, moving towards a sustainable future and reducing its environmental impact.
